I am an entrepreneur at heart and the owner of a promotional advertising business Kahan Promotions .
This blog is more of a personal endeavour than for business. Life has taken me on many paths that I would like to explore. I believe there are many traveling or who have traveled similar roads.
I will write on life, leadership, social media, youth sports and some thoughts on business. However don’t be surprised if I get sidetracked a bit.
My hope is that you will be inspired a little and even moved to join in with your comments. I would be happy if you just felt I provided you with something positive and beneficial for your own life.
Posting a few times a week is my goal. If you would like to read them as they are posted subscribe here RSS.
A Little More About Me
A grew up in my family’s mens formalwear business. I have owned a franchise as well as been in business for myself.
I am a passionate Penn State fan. The reason is easy since my father, brother, sister, three first cousins, and myself are all alumni. In addition, my son is now a student there. That should cover it!
Being a big believer in youth sports I volunteer for two organizations. I have coached a team since 2008 for The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley , which is an amazing program for special needs children. In addition I am a champion for The Positive Coaching Alliance. Youth sports can be the perfect classroom for life lessons.
One visit to my home and you will see we support animal rescue and adoption. You will find several dogs and cats that worked their way into our hearts and are permanent fixtures to our family.
My favorite movies are without a doubt the Rocky series and I even have a framed poster in my office. On the other side of the spectrum, I can always watch When Harry Met Sally.
I have three awesome kids, now all in college. I have been a full-time single father since 2000 which was the backdrop for creating and being the editor of the website Single Dad Life. I will touch on this topic from time to time.
I remarried two years ago to an amazing woman. She apparently looked at me with full custody of my three kids and said….that’s my guy. I would often joke that because of my background I would make a great wife, since I can sew, do alterations, and cook. Guess it worked. She is the head coach of a high school softball team and many now call me the “coaches wife”!
